Adapted Aquatics (Summer Only)

This class is for children of all ages with special needs. The program, started in 1994, is designed to have the entire family involved in the water experience, including siblings. Children from the community are welcome to sign up for this class free of charge to encourage inclusion with peers without special needs.

An instructor, adapted swim aides and trained volunteers assist in the water with families. The instructor's role is to assist each family and staff member involved develop an individualized swim program to meet the needs of the child with special needs.
